Well, I'm not a writer just a Loud mouth photographer. I know a lot of people will be mad about the things I say in here but this is just my option.
Who am I to judge or question?
Well , that is a good question ,
I'm nobody just a person who doesn't pull punches and doesn't care.
I am a Jerk, dick, prick and all those other 4 letter words and then some.
So, with that out of the way here is how I see things here in Nashville.
Well, I picked up the newest magazines today from our great city has to offer here and was blown away by the fact that the photography in the ads was of a better quality and more creative then the spreads. Because of this I thought to myself , damn I bet anyone not from here is laughing there asses off at our local magazines. We the creative community here have so many artists that are really creative and eager to be known and this is the best the magazine editors can do . Man that's crazy, but that takes me to my next rant today . The middle school mentally we call Nashville , If your not part of someones circle your not a good photographer, MUA, hair stylist, Model ..etc this type of mentally is why Nashville will never be that progressive city that the creative community would like it to be.
Like the idea of a Nashville fashion week its a GREAT idea but because the designers in this town are so worried about each other and not working together to better the greater good of the fashion movement in Nashville.IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! Let me tell all the designers here in Nashville you are NOT IN competition with each other all of you have different styles and ideas! This mentally of watching your back because they may steal my ideas is immature and not business like, your in Nashville not NYC this is not the Fashion Mecca of the World. So work together and not against each other.
The creative community is only as strong as our weakest link.
Well my last rant for today
Is what is up with everyone and there mother now buying a digital camera and now they call there selves photographers well this is just another one of those situations.
I find so hilarious that people really underrate the knowledge and skill that goes into photography and I have one thing to say to all those people" I have no problem with competition but at least PAY YOUR DUES BEFORE CALLING YOURSELF A PHOTOGRAPHER go assist someone learn as much as you can about the trade and the craft.
In conclusion to this rant this is no way to be destructive to anyone
just stating the facts as I see them.
